Opening of registrations for the M&A Academy Program: Growth Through Acquisition

Back to news list

We are now recruiting participants for our “Growth Through Acquisition” program. The first cohort is offered exclusively to women leaders who run established businesses.

Quebec is about to experience an unprecedented wave of business transfers. Yet, fewer than 20% of private businesses are owned by women, and growth through acquisition remains largely under-utilized by women business leaders.

This program was created to help close that gap.

Our goal is to equip women executives so they can assess, structure, and successfully complete acquisitions, while avoiding any loss of competitive advantage due to missed opportunities or slowed growth.

We have carefully designed this comprehensive three-day training program around six key M&A modules:

  1. Building an acquisition strategy
  2. Financial and tax considerations
  3. Legal aspects
  4. Structuring financing
  5. Negotiating and closing a transaction
  6. Post-acquisition integration

Each module is delivered in a full-day format combining:

→ Structured learning

→ Expert presentations from leading firms

→ Interactive panels with transaction practitioners

→ Peer-to-peer discussions

→ Networking cocktails at the end of the program

The training is delivered by recognized experts from our partner organizations: BDC, PwC, National Bank of Canada, BCF Avocats d'affaires | Business Law, Investissement Québec and Altero Conseil.

Participants will be able to: ️

  • Develop a clear and actionable acquisition strategy
  • Navigate the financial, legal, and tax dimensions of a transaction
  • Structure and finance acquisitions effectively
  • Negotiate with confidence ️
  • Succeed in post-acquisition integration ️
  • Expand their network of peers, entrepreneurs, and M&A professionals.

Our first cohort (women only) begins in February 2026 with three full training days spread over three months. A second mixed cohort will follow in fall 2026.

Registration is open for both cohorts.
