On October 29, the Club M&A, in collaboration with Optionality, hosted the first edition of Horror Stories in M&A, bringing together 180 entrepreneurs and professionals from the mergers and acquisitions community at the Club Saint-James in Montreal.
With one simple challenge — share your best worst story about buying or selling a business — attendees enjoyed an evening filled with surprising anecdotes, valuable lessons, and behind-the-scenes insights into the world of M&A.
A highlight of the evening was a special live recording of Les Dérangeants podcast, hosted by Dominic Gagnon and Étienne Crevier, in collaboration with Simon Leroux of Exit Stories (Optionality).
From deals gone wrong and complex negotiations to last-minute surprises and human challenges, the discussions offered an authentic and entertaining look at the realities of mergers and acquisitions.
