The M&A Club is proud to announce that Véronique Dorval, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at BDC, will serve as Guest of Honor at the 11th edition of the M&A Awards Gala, to be held on May 13, 2026, in Montreal.
A strategic business leader with an impressive 25-year career, Véronique Dorval joined BDC in 2022 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she oversees the Financing, Growth & Transition Capital, and Advisory Services business lines.
Previously, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Client Experience Officer at Sun Life Financial. During her 8-year tenure, she also held responsibilities related to strategic initiatives, client acquisition, engagement, and loyalty.
Prior to that, she spent 12 years as Associate Principal at McKinsey & Co., where she led management consulting mandates for large North American financial institutions and other clients.
Véronique is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Université de Sherbrooke, with part of her program completed in Mexico, Spain, and India.
Véronique is strongly involved in the advancement of women in the workplace and in her community. She has been a leader of the Sun Life Bright Women network and a contributor to FitSpirit. Previously, she served on the board of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and was a member of the advisory board for Heads & Hands. She currently serves on the boards of Eugeria, the Conference Board of Canada, and the MUHC Foundation. She was also the recipient of the AFFQ's Inspiration-Andrée-Corriveau Award in 2024.
Her appointment highlights the importance of celebrating excellence in mergers and acquisitions in Québec and underscores the role of visionary leaders who are shaping our industry.
