M&A Circles: A New Initiative to Build a Trusted Network

Back to news list

This spring, the M&A Club is launching a new initiative designed to foster more meaningful exchanges among professionals in the sector: the M&A Circles. Unlike traditional networking formats, the Circles are built around a more intimate and structured approach, designed to create genuine and lasting professional relationships.

Each circle brings together 15 participants and a moderator for a series of five meetings over ten weeks. The format — two lunches, one dinner, followed by two lunches — allows participants to reconnect regularly and engage in deeper discussions around deal-making challenges, professional experiences, and opportunities within the transactions market.

The concept is simple: 15 participants × 5 meetings × 1 moderator.

Cohorts are carefully composed to ensure a balanced mix of industries, expertise, and roles across the M&A ecosystem.

Three types of circles

Women in M&A Circle

This circle brings together women leaders active in M&A: bankers, lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, investors, strategic advisors, and intermediaries.

Two cohorts are offered:

  • Montréal – BCF, with Geneviève Martin
  • Québec – BCF, with Audrey St-Pierre

Young Leaders M&A Circle

This circle is designed for young professionals building their careers in M&A: analysts, lawyers, bankers, accountants, tax advisors, investors, and advisors.

Two cohorts are available:

  • Montréal – BCF Young Leaders
  • Québec – BCF Young Leaders

M&A Leaders Circle

Designed for experienced professionals holding senior roles within the M&A ecosystem, this circle fosters meaningful exchanges among executives, bankers, lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, and investors.

Cohort:

  • Scotiabank Circle, moderated by Selena Hughes (Scotiabank) and James Miller (Scotia Jarislowsky Fraser)

Spaces are limited in order to preserve the quality of discussions and the cohesion of each group.

Professionals interested in participating are invited to submit their application here to join one of the M&A Circles.
