The M&A Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathalie Gagnon as Jury President of the M&A Awards Gala. Recognized as one of the leading figures in private company mergers and acquisitions in Québec, she will bring to this key role her extensive expertise and strategic market vision.
Recognized for her deep understanding of the entrepreneurial reality, Nathalie Gagnon has been advising executives and shareholders for many years on complex mergers and acquisitions mandates, primarily within the Québec mid-market. As Head of the Business Law Group in the Montréal office, she stands out for her approach that is both rigorous and human, grounded in collaboration, creativity, and tailored solutions to growth, financing, business succession, and strategic equity investment challenges.
Previously, she served as Senior Vice-President and Chief Client Experience Officer at Sun Life Financial. During her eight-year tenure, she also held responsibilities related to strategic initiatives, client acquisition, engagement, and loyalty.
Her career has been marked by numerous prestigious recognitions, including the Lexpert Rising Stars Award (2014), a listing in Best Lawyers in Canada (2021), and recognition by Chambers Canada (2025) for her expertise in corporate and commercial law in Québec. Convinced of the importance of conducting negotiations in a constructive manner, she also completed the Negotiation and Leadership program at Harvard Law School.
Deeply committed to her community, Nathalie Gagnon has been involved for more than 15 years with the Fondation Jeunes en Tête, and also serves as Chair of the Board of Montréal Centre-ville.
