October 31 2025
On October 30, 2025, 25 women leaders from the M&A community gathered at Dentons in Toronto for a different kind of networking experience. Instead of exchanging business cards and chatting, we spent time in a structured, facilitated conversation to share insights, challenges, and experiences — and to build genuine relationships that go beyond transactions.
This first Women in M&A session, facilitated by the M&A Club of Canada, marked the beginning of a new approach to connection: one that’s intentional, collaborative, and designed for how women actually want to network.
A highlight of the day was a presentation by Randeep Purewal (CFO Centre) on the impact of AI in M&A transactions — sparking a fantastic discussion on how technology is already reshaping deal flow, due diligence, and strategy.
Why we came together:
• To share knowledge and elevate visibility for women shaping Canada’s M&A landscape
• To exchange ideas on how to stay connected and top of mind when opportunities arise
• To discuss the future of work, leadership, and technology in our industry
• To learn from one another’s experiences — successes, challenges, and lessons from the deal table
• To create space for mentorship, collaboration, and meaningful connection
What emerged was powerful: a community of women who want to learn from each other, support one another, and grow together.
This is just the beginning. A full networking and learning program for women in M&A is coming soon — stay tuned.
